To Tell The Truth

Friday September 6, at 7:30 pm, a diverse group of performers will come together at Unity for an evening of true life stories ranging from the hilarious to the heartbreaking. Rounding out the program will be a special musical guest. The September 6 show is the latest incarnation of To Tell the Truth, which began more than a decade ago in Bend, as a local version of NPR’s long running radio show, The Moth. The rules are simple. Performers are given approximately ten minutes to speak candidly, without the benefit or notes. They’re working without nets, coming directly to a live audience that has no idea what it’s going to hear.  Headlining the Sept. 6 show will be Cody Michael, an award winning regional comic, who will step outside his usual personae to tell a deeply personal story about growing up in the mid-west.
